The James Humber Co. was founded in 1981 by James M. Humber to provide insurance adjusting services to insurers both in the property and casualty lines.

Jim Humber developed a rock-solid career within the insurance claims industry over a period of 18 years before founding the James M. Humber Co.

As President of the company he has made it his personal mission to succeed in establishing a strong foundation for the company with a reputation for its professionalism and integrity

With over 50 years of experience within the Insurance Claims Industry.

Prior to opening his company, Jim’s professional background included working for  many prestigious insurance companies such as H.F. Ahmanson- National American Insurance- The Lawrence Masse Company and the George William Beyer Company.       

Jim Humber was graduated from UCLA with Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration. He continues to expand his education through various insurance industry seminars and courses including the PLRB annual conference.

Richard J. Greco  

Independent Adjuster  

Richard has been an independent adjuster with the James Humber Co. since 1997. He brings with him a myriad of professional and educational skills including a law degree, California real estate broker license and a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Richard was previously employed as an estimator for a licensed fire insurance contractor. His experience utilizing computer estimating systems enables him to accurately assess property damage losses.

Richard specialized in property appraisals, estimates of property damage, liability and coverage issues/subrogation.
